NIGEL MORRIS
I originally studied and trained as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator at Wallasey Art College and later
went on to study for a Bachelor of Design at Liverpool and a Certificate of Education. I have worked
as an Artist, Designer and Lecturer / Tutor in Art and Design for many years, working for a variety of
companies and colleges in the North West. I have been an Artist in Residence at Magenta Gallery
and at Greasby Arts and Crafts on the Wirral. I currently am teaching at Wirral 3Ls and on my own
classes. I also demonstrate painting and carry out workshops for groups as well as an Artist working
in Acrylic, Oil, Watercolour and Mixed Media.
I work in a variety subject areas; these include Abstract, Aviation, Landscape, Marine and Wildlife.
I have had work purchased by Avro International British Aerospace, The Grosvenor Museum and Art
Gallery, Chester purchased work to hang in their Contemporary Art Collection and I have work
hanging in many private collections throughout the U.K., Canada, U.S.A. and Australia. I have been
commissioned by BAE Systems, Airbus Industries for a painting of the first A380 Airbus wing being
transported down the River Dee and to paint a series of Christmas cards for the Royal Air Force
Association. I am also a member of a number of art societies in the area and am Associate of the
Guild of Aviation Artists.
